About Me

When I was younger, my curiosity started with books. I would read almost a book a day, wondering how sentences were formed and what words mean what. When my 11th grade English teacher push my writing to be the best, I knew then what I wanted to do-write, but I questioned how. When George Floyd was murdered, my passion for activism and community was channeled through my writing. I began hosting and volunteering in local community events such as Clean-Ups, Open Mic Night, and Annual Book Bag Drives. I currently attend Temple University where I major in Journalism, and minor in Spanish and work as a freelance writer for Temple News. Some of my hobbies other than community work, activism, and writing include working out, reading, sports, anything to with the outdoors, and watching tv such as anime. I also work at Temple’s Campus Recreation as a facility monitor and a Bank Teller at Wells Fargo.

As a black journalist, my goal is to use my words to bring one another together, be a voice for our people, tell real stories, share the facts, report on what matters, and make a difference.
